Jim is my all-time favorite frog. Nothing but great and funny memories of him from high school and college. Jay Leno would not have a job if Jim were still with us, and Miss Walton probably wanted to quit her job after dealing with "The Fonz of the Pond".
Jim was truly a man without guile! What a fine example of a person who loved life. It was always fun to be in his presence. I am sure he has lots of people laughing on the other side. Miss ya Frog Man!
James Edward Regenthal: Born April 1, 1958. Died August 18, 1988, age 30.
In life Jim was known to many of us as "Frog." At his funerel it was discovered that he also had another alias. On night walks he would leave notes of comfort and encouragement on the doorsteps of those he knew needed it. These notes were signed, "The Night Knight." To my first kind and loyal childhood friend, neighbor and classmate, you and you're wonderful spirit will always be remembered. Jim Jones
If there is any one classmate of the Viewmont Class of '76 that most of us would know, that would be Jim "Frog" Regenthal. Even though he has been gone since 1988, it seems like yesterday that he was with us making us laugh and being a friend to all that knew him. He was one of the best Vikings Viewmont has graduated, and I salute him and thank him for who he was and is!
